Sofia Goggia has no doubts about Federica Brignone

Sofia Goggia is still not thinking about the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. “Everyone asks me about it but I want to think about it only in February– she told the microphones of Libero -Before there are world cup races to refine my form but, above all, to win”.
“Skiing is the only sport that stands still from April to October,” added l’Azzurra. “I will go to Argentina and Chile to put my skis back on the Andean glaciers, but only in September. This year I decided to work on my muscles also with acrobatic workouts. It may sound strange to you but I have been trying to perfect the necessary jumps and balances of skiing with artistic gymnastics. I even took lessons in… archery”.
On rivals in the coming season: “The usual ones: Mikaela Shiffrin and Lara Gut-Behrami in the lead. Federica Brignone will unfortunately still be busy recovering from the tremendous injury she suffered”.
About the champion from Aosta Valley: “I visited her in Turin, found her positive, as always. Now she has undergone a second operation, so for her the hard part comes now. But I am sure she will recover one hundred percent”.
“Milan Cortina last act? No, retirement is not on my mind at all” Goggia concluded.
