The summer break is over and MotoGp is back in action with the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg, where the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team takes to the track with both Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli. On the track where it took a third place in 2023, the Tavullia-based team is ready to fight for top positions.

Morbidelli returns to the track at Spielberg after missing Brno due to a shoulder injury. Franco has focused on recovery and training with the road-going Ducati (at Balaton but also at Misano) and is due to receive the doctors’ okay on Thursday. Sixth in the championship with 139 points, the number 21 is excited to get back on the Ducati Desmosedici GP for the Austrian Grand Prix, where he had a best result victory (in 2017 in Moto2).

“I have a great desire to get back on the MotoGp,” said Franco. “After the injury, I got on the Ducati Panigale in Hungary and Misano. At Balaton it went very well, the pain was not much and we adapted well to the new track. The day was very positive and gave us a great energy boost to continue the recovery and preparation for this second part of the championship.”

“The Desmosedici GP is something else,” he added.

“We will arrive in Austria and understand how I am, we will try to improve little by little. We will take everything in the right way to try to do the best job possible. I can’t wait to get back to work with the team and do what we like, which is to do our best every weekend.”
