Parma makes haste: all done for Leoni’s replacement, figures

Parma has moved quickly to replace Giovanni Leoni, who moved to Liverpool at the end of a fast offensive by the Reds. It’s incoming from Argentina Mariano Troilo, a central defender from Banfield, class of 2003 and already in’orbit in the Albiceleste national team.

Ducal executives have already reached an agreement with the player, who was also negotiating with Pisa: Troilo will sign a five-year contract.

The player, another 194 centimeters, is expected in Parma in the coming days for routine medical examinations and contract signing with the Emilian club. He had already greeted fans a few days ago, when his transfer to Pisa seemed certain.

Parma according to rumors is expected to pay Banfield’s coffers about 6.5 million euros plus a million in bonuses. The Argentine club has asked for a clause for the future resale of the player.
