Tammy Abraham’s new life: at Besiktas he scores and has fun

Tammy Abraham, last July 2, agreed to go and play, on conditional redemption loan, at Besiktas, in Turkey. Roma did not want to bet on him, after seeing him struggle, last year, at AC Milan (10 goals in 44 appearances).

The English striker has started the season with his new club great. In three matches (Europa League qualifiers and, later, Conference League), Tammy Abraham has been an absolute star. He scored his first goal against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Then, in the third conference league qualifying round, he excelled himself, scoring a hat trick in the first leg and a goal in the return leg in the doubleheader with St. Patrick’s. In short, a dazzling start to the season from a center forward who seemed, at least in recent Serie A seasons, to have lost his way in goal.

Finally certain to always have a starting jersey, Tammy Abraham seems to have found himself again. His goal, in addition to winning something important with Beskitas, is to prove Roma wrong not to bet on him. His career single-season record is 27 goals (2021/22 season with the Giallorossi). In Turkey, with the Besiktas jersey, the English forward will try to do better. The’start has been excellent.
