MotoGp Austria: Bezzecchi on pole, Bagnaia third. Marc Marquez off the front row

An’Aprilia ahead of three Ducatis: this is the’outcome of the decisive MotoGp qualifying session in Austria, with Marco Bezzecchi able to snatch pole with a time of 1:28.060, just 16 thousandths faster than the best time of Alex Marquez, who places his Ducati Desmosedici GP24 of Team Gresini in second position.

Closing in third place, and thus starting from the front row, is Pecco Bagnaia, whose fastest time in Q2 is 142 thousandths slower than that of his Aprilia compatriot. Opening the second row will instead be Marc Marquez, beaten by his teammate at the factory Ducati by 22 thousandths of a second.

Completing the second row will be Enea Bastianini, on a KTM Tech3, and the’other Ducati Gresini of Fermin Aldeguer. On the third row, from seventh to ninth, will be Pedro Acosta on KTM Factory, Franco Morbidelli on Ducati VR46 and Raul Fernandez on Aprilia Trackouse. Fourth row for Joan Mir on Honda HRC, Brad Binder on KTM Factory and Johann Zarco on Castrol Honda LCR.

The Grand Prix d’Austria is the thirteenth round out of the twenty-two on the calendar in the 2025 MotoGP season. Marc Marquez is the leader in the standings as far as MotoGp is concerned, with 381 total points and a sizeable lead over the second, his brother Alex Marquez, who has collected 261. Pecco Bagnaia is third in the rainbow standings, at 213.
