When does Carlos Alcaraz play in Cincinnati: background with Alexander Zverev

It is semifinal time at the Cincinnati Masters 1000. After Jannik Sinner, opposing the surprising Terence Atamane, on court at 9 p.m. Italian time (3 p.m. local time), it will be the turn of Carlos Alcaraz, world and seeded number two, and Alexander Zverev, ranked and seeded number three.
The match between the Spaniard and the German is set for Saturday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. local time (midnight in Italy when it kicks off Sunday, Aug. 17) on the ‘P&G Centre Court’ of the ‘Lindner Family Tennis Center’ in Mason.
There are 11 previous matches between Alcaraz and Zverev with the German holding a 6-5 advantage. Carlitos and Sascha have played each other 7 times on concrete: the German has prevailed on five occasions (first round ATP 500 Acapulco 2021, semifinals ATP 500 Vienna 2021, quarterfinals Australian Open 2024, and twice in the round of the ATP Finals, in 2023 and 2024), while the Murcian only in two (quarterfinals Us Open 2023 and quarterfinals Masters 1000 Indian Wells 2024).
On clay, however, Alcaraz is ahead 3-1: the Spaniard has beaten Zverev twice at the Madrid Masters 1000, in the final in 2022 and in the round of 16 in 2023, and once at Roland Garros, in the final in 2024, taking revenge on the German, who had beaten him in the very quarterfinals of the Paris Slam in 2022.
