Coppa Italia 2025-2026: Udinese-Carrarese, the likely lineups
After a convincing preseason, concluded with five consecutive victories (Qatar national team, Strasbourg, Twente and twice Werder Bremen the opponents defeated), Udinese faces its first official commitment in the Coppa Italia: its opponent in the 32nd round is Carrarese, itself struggling with its first game with something concrete at stake.
The Friulians are coming off a positive championship, which began at a great pace before a period of decline that jeopardized the possibility of finishing in the side of the standings that would have allowed them to start the Coppa Italia from the round of 16. Kosta Runjaic, confirmed on the bench, is looking for answers especially from the’attack composed of Iker Bravo and Keinan Davis, after the disposals of Lucca and Thauvin.
As for the Giallazzurri, at their helm there’s still Antonio Calabro, a coach who returned to Serie B last season and was able to replicate in Carrara what he did in Carpi in 2018, with a relatively quiet salvation. In the preseason came two losses against Fiorentina and Lecce and a 2-0 success against Camaiore: on the occasion, Distefano and Scheffer, likely starters against Udinese, scored.
