It’lasted just twenty-three minutes the highly anticipated Cincinnati Masters 1000 final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, with the world number one dropping out at 5-0 in a first set that never really got started.

The’South Tyrolean was broken three times and remained on court for honors until the changeover where a medical time out was called to check the condition of the Wimbledon champion.

Sinner, clearly in no condition to play, apologized to Alcaraz as he made the withdrawal official before the chair judge.

Alcaraz, triumphant in Paris in Roland Garros, thus became champion in Cincinnati, adding another title to his already very rich palmares.
