Diamond League Finals, Mattia Furlani second in the long run

Mattia Furlani goes close to Diamond League success by finishing second in the long jump event on the first day of the Zurich meeting that decrees the winners of the circuit.
World indoor champion and Olympic bronze medalist lands at 8.30 (+0.7) beaten only by Switzerland’s Simon Ehammer (8.32). Leonardo Fabbri is sixth in the weight with 21.47, winning the Diamond Trophy for the fourth time the U.S. Joe Kovacs (22.46).
Roberta Bruni is also sixth in the pole vault with 4.45 in her second outing after her injury in Paris, the other U.S. Katie Moon (4.82) wins.
In the other competitions, Armand Duplantis in the men’s Diamond League 2025 champion title (6.00), Australia’s Nicola Olyslagers in the women’s high jump (2.04, world lead and Oceania record) and in the weight, Canada’s Sarah Mitton (20.67) celebrate.
