Andrea Belotti and Rasmus Hojlund: new Serie A jerseys for the two bombers

Activated soccer market in the’last summer day of negotiations also regarding strikers. Monday evening gave two formalities for as many bombers: one long-awaited, the other decidedly less so. And on the one hand Serie A welcomes back Rasmus Hojlund, on the other it is preparing for a new adventure of an old fox like “the Rooster” Andrea Belotti.
The latter, back from the not-so-happy adventure with Como, leaves the Larians and joins Cagliari on a permanent basis. It will be the Bergamasque center forward, who in the last six months had played on loan at Benfica and who was Torino’s flag bearer between 2015 and 2022, who will replace fellow countryman Roberto Piccoli, who left Sardinia to join Stefano Pioli’s Fiorentina.
In the granata jersey Belotti scored an impressive 100 league goals, and it was as a Torino player that he became champion of Europe with Roberto Mancini’s Italy at Euro 2020. In the top Italian league he also wore the jerseys of Palermo, Roma and Fiorentina before moving to Como. He still had one year left on his contract with the Lombard club, but Cagliari managed to win him thanks to a lightning fast negotiation that began and was completed just on Monday.
Much longer was Napoli’s courtship of Rasmus Hojlund, which on Monday came to fruition as first announced by Aurelio De Laurentiis and then by the Neapolitan club in a note. “SSC Napoli – it reads therein – announces that it has acquired the sporting services of footballer Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United Football Club on a loan deal with mandatory redemption. Born Feb. 4, 2003, the Danish footballer grew up in the youth ranks of Brøndby, Holbæk and FC Copenhagen. After a year with Sturm Graz, Rasmus landed at Atalanta in August 2022, playing 34 matches and scoring 10 goals”.
“The following season he moved to Manchester United, scoring 26 goals in 95 appearances. With the Danish national team he scored eight goals in 26 appearances. Welcome, Rasmus!”, are the words with which Napoli completes its presentation of Hojlund.
