Seneca Knight wears red and white

After experiences in Latvia and England, Seneca Knight has chosen the Italian Serie A2 championship and will wear the Estra Pistoia jersey next season. It’s been the same white-and-red club to make official the signing of the American winger, whose contract will be valid throughout next season, going to end on June 30, 2026.
“Signing with an important team like Pistoia – said Knight, who was born in New Orleans on March 31, 2000 – is something nice for me. this is a club that has achieved several successes throughout its history and I am looking forward to coming to the city. After talking with coach Tommaso Della Rosa, I sensed his confidence in me and his sincere desire to have me on the team”.
“From that moment – added the new red-and-white acquisition – I understood that Pistoia was the right place for me. Moreover, Italy is an extraordinary place, rich in culture and true passion for basketball: to be part of an environment where people care so much about the sport I love is all I could wish for. I want to thank the management and staff for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to taking the court to meet my new teammates as well as getting to know the fantastic fans who support Pistoia”.
After three years at San Jose University and two more in which he split his time between Brigham Young and Illinois State, also in NCAA tournaments, Seneca Knight wore the uniform of Valmiera, Latvia, in the 2023-2024 season, while in the following season he defended the colors of the Newcastle Eagles, winning the SLB Trophy and reaching the finals in the European North Basketball League.
