MotoGp, VR46: Fabio Di Giannantonio puts Barcelona in his sights

After a weekend with two faces in Hungary (second place in the Sprint Race, only fifteenth in tomorrow’s race), Fabio Di Giannantonio has Barcelona in his sights: the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider’s ambition is to give himself and his team a prestigious result riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP-25.
“I really like the Barcelona track, maybe it is one of the most beautiful layouts we have on the calendar – said Di Giannantonio, who last year on the same circuit took sixth place in the Sprint and fifth in the long race -It is very different from the Hungarian track. We will probably have a lot less grip, so we will have to work a little bit and figure out how to have the same feeling we had in Balaton”.
“I hope to have a smooth weekend, where we can work in continuity. I made podiums in Barcelona, we will try to have fun and do well” explained again the centaur born in Rome on October 10, 1998, who on the Circuit del Barcelona-Catalunya aims to recover the 7 points of delay in the overall standings towards his teammate Franco Morbidelli.
The team will be able to do well in the race.
This season, Di Giannantonio has alternated between excellent performances, culminating in third place in Sunday’s races in Texas and Mugello, as well as Sprint podiums in Aragon (third place) and Balaton (second), and negative race weekends, finishing outside the points zone on a couple of occasions (Lusail and Brno) and retiring in Germany and Austria.
