Ferrari, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton take charge ahead of Monza

At the Grand Opening of The House of Peroni Nastro Azzurro at the Palazzo Reale in Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, the two Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton arrived to greet the fans, as they tried to give each other a boost ahead of next Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix in Monza.
“Today I discovered an Italian saying: there’s no two without three. Let’s hope that the third victory in Monza can already come this year. Between the one in 2019 and the one in 2024, I have no preference. Last year an unexpected one came, we hope to replicate it on Sunday,” said an ever-optimistic Leclerc.
“I will give everything – added Hamilton saying these two words in Italian -. The atmosphere is really incredible, here is the best, I love being here. The fans here are so special. My first grand prix as a Ferrari driver in Monza will definitely be special”.
Leclerc and Hamilton are coming back from a disastrous Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort: the Monegasque was rammed by Kimi Antonelli, the seven-time world champion crashed and on top of that on the Monza grid he will be penalized five positions.
