Lorenzo Musetti impressed by Jannik Sinner: "Negative feeling"

Lorenzo Musetti dreamed of being the first Italian to win a derby against Jannik Sinner. Instead, he picked up only crumbs in the match with the’South Tyrolean who prevailed in three sets, hardly ever giving the Carrarese player a chance to really get into the match.

A defeat that leaves Lorenzo Musetti with a bitter taste in his mouth. However, there remains the satisfaction of having played an excellent tournament that will allow him to armor the Top 10 and continue the mark of qualifying for the ATP Finals in November.

At the end of the match with Jannik Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, in a press conference, stressed the superiority of his friendly rival: “To be honest, I had never faced anyone who could put so much pressure on me during the exchanges. He did not give me so much opportunity, he always led the game”, his clear words.

Lorenzo Musetti pointed out that, during the match, he felt a “negative feeling” due to the fact that his opponent dominated him far and wide. A defeat, however, that will help Lorenzo Musetti prepare better for the upcoming challenges with Jannik Sinner. The feeling is that the two will find themselves, facing each other, many more times. As of today, Jannik Sinner’s dominance is total but Lorenzo Musetti is ready to work hard to find a way to beat his rival friend.
