At 8:45 p.m. at Stožice Stadium in Ljubljana, Slovenia-Sweden will be played, one of the matches that, along with Switzerland and Kosovo, opens Group B of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Scandinavians led by former AC Milan striker Jon Dahl Tomasson are the favorites along with Switzerland for the top spot in the group but Kek’s team will not be an easy obstacle to overcome, especially since they can take advantage of the home field factor.

The likely lineups

SLOVENIA (4-2-3-1): Oblak; Karnicnik, Brekalo, Bijol, Janza; Petrovic, Zabukvonich; Stojanovic, Lovric, Verbic: Kramer. All. Kek.

SWEDEN (3-4-3): Johannson; Ekdal, Hien, Svensson; Larsson, Ayari, Jonhsoon, Sema; Nygren, Isak, Larsson. All. Tomasson.
