Trent shines in Valtellina, AEK Athens defeated

Dolomiti Energia Trentino won in the first outing of the Valtellina Summer League, overcoming the AEK Greeks with a brilliant performance.

The bianconeri started off strong, suffering the opponent’s comeback at the end of the first quarter but reacting with character: coach Cancellieri’s team went back ahead and kept control of the match until the buzzer, even touching the double-digit lead and resisting the yellow-and-white’s comeback attempts.

MVP of the match is Jakimovski with 19 points and 6 rebounds, excellent performance of Steward (18 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists) and Cheickh Niang, author of 15 points with an excellent 5/7 from the arc. AEK did not need just 18 points from Bartley and Arms and 17 from Silva.

Tomorrow at 6 p.m., again at the Palascieghi in Sondrio, Aquila will be back on the court for the second challenge of the Valtellina Summer League against newly promoted Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù.
