Obereggen stars in Misano: sea meets mountain

Sea and the Dolomites will meet for the second time in Misano Adriatico during the three-day Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera (September 12-13-14). The Obereggen Latemar SpA lift company, a resort in the Latemar area with its Trentino sister resorts Pampeago and Predazzo, and the Bolzano Tourist Board will present the new winter season on the promenade of the well-known seaside resort, guests of the VisitMisano foundation, during the days of the Grand Prix. Thus reciprocating the presence of VisitMisano with president Luigi Bellettini, his staff and Misano World Circuit director Andrea Albani at the second edition of the “Beach Party at 2000 meters high” event organized by the same “VisitMisano” last March in the Obereggen snowpark as well as at the press conference presenting the partnership held in Bolzano.
On Thursday, September 11, at the restaurant La Piazzetta in Misano Adriatico, the presentation of the winter season will be held, which will be attended by representatives of Visitmisano led by president Luigi Bellettini, Thomas Ondertoller marketing and communications director of Obereggen Latemar Spa, president Roland Buratti and director Roberta Agosti of the Bolzano Tourist Board: three entities linked by a collaboration in the field of tourism promotion.
“With our friends from Misano Adriatico we consolidate our friendship with the promotion of the new winter season. The initiative is possible thanks to the cooperation with the VisitMisano Foundation. We owe thanks for the hospitality to the VisitMisano Foundation, chaired by’architect Luigi Bellettini, supported by Luca Santini and marketing consultant Antonino Minchillo” anticipates Thomas Ondertoller, marketing and communications director of Obereggen Latemar SpA, who will be present in Misano at the information point set up on the Promenade in the beautiful setting of Piazzale Roma. “The hope is that this year will again be a beautiful and fruitful experience with many Italian and foreign guests as it was last year,” Ondertoller continues. Obereggen will be the first of the 12 valleys of the Dolomiti Superski international ski carousel: it will open the turnstiles on Friday, Nov. 28, both at 8:30 a.m. with the first daytime skiing and at night from 7 p.m. and final party at the Apres Ski LOOX downstream of the historic Oberholz slope; from Saturday, Nov. 29, at 8:30 a.m. the lifts and slopes of Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo and related connections are scheduled to open. In Misano, Thomas Ondertoller, Roland Buratti and Roberta Agosti will also meet with local institutions led by Mayor Fabrizio Piccioni, Tourism Councillor Marco Dominici and Economic Activities Councillor Filippo Valentini as well as Massimo Leardini, president of the Misano Hoteliers Association.
“We are very pleased to have renewed and strengthened this collaboration with our friends from Obereggen,” highlights VisitMisano President Luigi Bellettini, “collaborations such as in the case of Obereggen confirm the fundamental importance of a fruitful synergy to be continued and developed. Our mission is always to make our destination welcoming for all guests, so that they can enjoy unforgettable experiences”.
Andrea Albani, Managing Director of the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli,” says: “In Obereggen, we talked about the issue of safety on the ski slopes and on the circuit, laying the groundwork for possible joint projects in terms of prevention in the coming winter on the area”.
Bozen Tourist Board President Roland Buratti explains: “On the occasion of the MotoGp world event, we will continue the strategic partnership with the municipality of Misano Adriatico and the Obereggen hiking and skiing area for a mutual promotion between Misano, the city of Bolzano and the Latemar Dolomite massif. During these three days, we will present our city as a destination of excellence, capable of combining history, culture and art. At the center of the promotion will also be the famous Christmas Market, which has become an established tradition, not only locally but also nationally.” Director Roberta Agosti points out, “We started this collaboration last spring, participating with satisfaction in all institutional meetings and also promoting a joint campaign together with our friends from Obereggen, at the Frühlingsfest Romagna, an event that combined Bavarian tradition, culture and gastronomy with the warmth and hospitality typical of Romagna”.
