Amedeo Della Valle now dreams of Los Angeles Olympics with 3×3 basketball
Amedeo Della Valle spoke to La Repubblica about his experience with the national team in the Europe Cup 3×3, which he finished in 3rd place: “But don’t think that you struggle less in 3×3. It is a sport from the physical point of view really hard, you have to be in top physical condition. I mean, it is not a shortened version of basketball. They are two different sports”.
“The’idea how’did it come about? I saw an’opportunity. I love basketball and having not been called up to the senior national team in recent years, I saw potential in the 3×3 to explore.”
The goal at this point is Los Angeles 2028: “We will talk about it with the Federation, with coach Claudio Negri, with head coach Stefano Mancinelli. I’ve always dreamed of the Olympics.”
Adesso Della Valle is already back in Brescia: “Germani is already in training camp ahead of the Supercup at the end of the month. I kept myself “warm” it was very helpful. I thank the club that gave me this opportunity. Now it’s time to run from one side of the court to the other. Basketball is the greatest thing in the world, with a basket or two.”
