Italvolley from President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, date set

President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella will receive in audience the Italian Women’s National Volleyball Team, which won the gold medal at the 2025 World Championships last Sunday in Bangkok.

The meeting will take place at the Quirinal Palace on Wednesday, Oct. 8, beginning at 4 p.m.

The Federvolley delegation will be led by President Giuseppe Manfredi. Also present will be the President of the Italian National Olympic Committee, Luciano Buonfiglio.

Following from home the return of the Italian women’s team to the top step of the rainbow podium were 4 million and 123 thousand viewers, representing a 33% share, who watched the Italy-Turkey World Championships final live on Rai 1.

The post-match broadcast still recorded extraordinary numbers: 4,100,000 viewers with 38% share. The volleyball World Cup final between the Blue Women and Turkey turned out to be the most-watched program of the day on Rai 1.
