Urbaino Cairo sends a message to his Torino.

On the sidelines of the presentation of the 24th Cairo Prize at the Museo della Permanente in Milan, Urbano Cairo made some statements to the journalists present on his Torino team’s goals for the 2025-2026 season, which began with a heavy knockout against Inter and a draw with Fiorentina.
“If we make strong investments as I have done, enriching the team, with a quality coach like Marco Baroni, it is because the’goal is to do better than last year or previous years– stressed the president of the Granata club. “We have to start doing well, getting good results, then we will see”.
“Now we simply have to work – added the Toro number one – as the coach is doing to be able to extract the best from a team enriched with 8 components, which have a lot of potential, which probably arrived in a partial state of form also related to the fact that they arrived after having played few minutes last year. But the more time passes the more they can do well”.
Finally, a comment on the national team: “There’s been a lot of spectacle, a team that scores a lot of goals, with strong strikers like Kean, Retegui, even Politano. Then it’s one thing to score goals against Israel, which maybe concedes you a bit more, while with more important teams you also have to be careful at the back”.
