Pecco Bagnaia climbed back up the ladder in Misano pre-qualifying session

On his private Instagram channel, Ducati’s Turin-based Francesco Bagnaia took stock of the first day of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini MotoGP class Grand Prix at the Misano circuit, in which he placed fourth in pre-qualifying, gaining direct access to tomorrow’s Q2. Here are the words of Pecco.
“The last two races for us have been very complicated. We knew we could be more competitive here because the track offers a lot of grip and most of my problems so far come from the lack of grip and that helps.”
“We adopted a different strategy, without making big changes and I tried to adapt myself being this a track I know perfectly well. We have a good race pace and I am satisfied. It was important for us to access Q2 directly. Tomorrow we will try to improve again.”
This year Bagnaia, a world champion in 2018 in Moto2 and in 2022 and 2023 in MotoGP, has won only one race, the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, then took a second and five third places in the Sunday races, the last podium finish being on the bottom step at Sachsenring, Germany, two months ago.
