The bout, staged at Las Vegas’Allegiant Stadium, saw Bud (one of Terence Crawford&#8217s nicknames) never give his opponent, the Mexican star, a chance to get into the match. Victory on points but total domination for 37-year-old Terence Crawford.

With this victory, Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) becomes the new undisputed super middleweight champion and, sopprattutto, the first boxer in the four-belt era to be undisputed king in three weight categories.

Mastic bitter Canelo Alvarez who came to the event on the strength of his recent success against William Scull last May at the’Anb Arena in Riyadh. The Mexican had won the undisputed super middleweight title for the second time in his career, unifying the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF belts. However, the performance against William Scull had shown some limitations in the 34-year-old Mexican, so much so that the victory had come only on points (by unanimous verdict) without shining like in the good old days. Against Terence Crawford all the doubts about his form were seen.
