Franco Morbidelli cuddles fourth place in Misano

The atmosphere at home is always special, and the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team experienced the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix with great energy, coming close to a podium finish in front of its home crowd. Franco Morbidelli ended Sunday’s race in fourth position, while Fabio Di Giannantonio crossed the finish line in fifth place.

Morbidelli was the author of a good start from the second row that allowed him to insert himself immediately in the fight for the podium. Franco showed good pace during the 27 laps, ending his home race in fourth position. The #21 remains sixth in the overall standings with 180 points.

We worked well and I have to thank the team, after Barcelona we came here and aimed to have a solid weekend. It was and it’s thanks to the team and all the people who came to support us. Here in Misano I took things more easy in the race, especially at the beginning, and then tried to bring home the result that was in our hands. We have confidence from these performances, now we focus on testing tomorrow and arriving in Japan with good feelings”.
