F1, Sprint Race: 2026 calendar features a return and three new features

In an official statement, Formula 1 and the FIA have announced the Sprint Race calendar for the 2026 World Championship. Six short races remain on Saturday but there are as many as three new entries and one return on next season’s calendar.
The Sprint Race returns to the UK Grand Prix at Silverstone, where the first Sprint Race in history was run in 2021, while the Canadian Grand Prix, the Dutch Grand Prix and the Singapore Grand Prix will host the weekend with the Sprint format for the first time.
Sprint qualifying takes place on Friday after the first free practice session, while Saturday features the Sprint Race and Grand Prix qualifying, with the weekend concluding on Sunday with the main race.
