Mercedes, Antonelli under pressure: "I understand Wolff"’s criticism;
Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli in a press conference in Baku commented on the criticism directed at him by his boss Toto Wolff after Monza: “The criticism is understandable, between us the relationship is always sincere. I think Toto’s reference is more about the race than the Qualifying because the Qualifying went quite well in fact I hope to regain in Baku the incisiveness in Qualifying that I had in Monza”.
“The goal is to have a clean weekend, because the mistake at Lesmo-2 in FP2 at Monza prevented me from making the long run and I went into the race pretty much blind. This I paid for in the stint on hard tires. Baku is a complicated track, with several bumps under braking that make it tricky, but it is a nice circuit, complicated, but fun for the driver”.
“The other teams unlike us recently have brought upgrades and that makes things even more difficult for us because we have to be perfect to be competitive”.
