Inauguration of the new Reusch headquarters in Vignate

After a year of work, the construction site is finally closed and Reusch inaugurated its new headquarters in Vignate (MI), at 26 Via del Lavoro, with an event that brought together prominent figures in the sport. The ceremony was attended by Stefan Weitzmannand son Erich who in the role of CEO represents the third generation in the company. A parterre de roi, with the presence of exceptional athletes and ambassadors: skier Lara Colturi, swimmer Simona Quadarellaand goalkeepers Christian Abbiatiand Lorenzo Torriani.
The day opened with a welcome moment and a guided tour of the facility, followed by institutional speeches by President Stefan Weitzmann and Erich Weitzmann, who explained the guidelines of a project designed to combine tradition, innovation and sustainability.
“We are really pleased with what we have achieved, an accomplishment that concretizes our long-term vision – commented Stefan Weitzmann, president of Reusch –and the new location will allow us to put our experience and a state-of-the-art facility at the service of those who want to operate with us in the field of sports business. In fact, we want to be not only a reference point for athletes and professionals, but also for all those companies looking for a qualified platform to grow in European markets.”
At a time when many realities in the sports sector are looking for stability and solid references, investments of this kind do not only respond to internal needs, but also send a clear signal to those looking for a structured partner with whom to face new challenges together in European markets.
The new headquarters in Vignate represents a strategic step for the company: a modern building, designed to ensure logistical efficiency and quality of work, with spaces already prepared to support a growth of up to 75 percent of the Vignate office in the coming years. The operational heart is the main warehouse, developed on three levels of 2,500 square meters each, equipped with manual picking systems and modern shelving designed after careful analysis by a professor from the University of Padua. Added to this are the six loading bays to optimize time and shipments and other state-of-the-art solutions, such as innovative lifting systems, automated lighting, heat pumps and total insulation, guaranteeing comfort and energy efficiency. Last but certainly not least, a 700-cubic-meter underground firefighting tank.
The attention to the environment and the territory is confirmed by the installation of a perimeter hedge with 12 species of native shrubs typical of Milan’s agricultural territory. And in terms of social sustainability, the integration of spaces dedicated to guests and employees has been implemented: the executive offices, ten in total, include meeting rooms, showroom, silent room and terrace with pergola, testifying to a corporate philosophy that puts people at the center.
Founded in Germany in 1934, Reusch is now recognized worldwide as a leading manufacturer of sports gloves, with a distribution network reaching 93 countries and an international team of more than 80 employees between the Bolzano headquarters, the German subsidiary in Reutlingen and, as of today, the logistics facility in Vignate. A family-run company headed by the Weitzmann family, the brand partners with more than 700 top professionals, including champions such as Mikaela Shiffrin and Marco Odermatt in alpine skiing, and soccer goalkeepers Alisson Becker and Unai Simón, as well as ambassadors present at the inauguration.
With the opening of the new Milan headquarters, Reusch reaffirms its international vocation and strengthens its ties with athletes, retailers and consumers, charting a clear course towards the future: growth, innovation and quality at the service of sport.
