Juventus, Igor Tudor does not change his mind about the Bianconeri defense

Although morale in the Juventus household is high thanks to the success with Inter Milan in the league and the comeback draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, there is one aspect that has drawn not a few criticisms: the management of the defensive phase. In fact, Juve conceded a total of seven goals between the Sept. 13 match and the match on the 16th, but Igor Tudor took it upon himself in a press conference to defend his team’s performance.
“It is not the case to make all these trials – explained the Croatian coach twenty-four hours before the league match at home of Hellas Verona -. One has to understand the context of the match, winning 4-3 that game with Inter’Inter and drawing 4-4 in the Champions League against Borussia means having done a very good job against teams of absolute level”.
Tudor also spoke about Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio: “He has done almost nothing wrong, the starting goalkeeper is and remains him. As a coach I watch a lot of games and I see a lot of mistakes from the goalkeepers, and they are mistakes that Di Gregorio does not make. He has caught seven goals in two games but he is hardly at fault, perhaps only one goal was avoidable”.
The Juve coach then dotted the i’s by addressing the subject of Kelly: “Some have criticized him but since I have been here he has always done well. It is not the two goals in the last few games that have improved judgment, he is a decent guy, humble, with a great desire to play and improve. I am very happy with the way he is playing beyond the goals”.
