Fourth day of the championship in Serie B, with Monza–Sampdoria standing out among the afternoon matches: the brianzoli return to their home stadium after two away matches stingy of satisfaction (1-1 in Bari, 2-1 defeat in Avellino), the blucerchiati want to get out of the nightmare of a first part of the season characterized by three defeats out of three in the championship.

Paolo Bianco, Monza’s coach, is ready to shuffle the cards in attack, giving space from 1′ to Agustin Alvarez, who scored at the Partenio-Lombardi as a substitute, with Dany Mota moved to the three-quarter, along with Galazzi. Azzi and Birindelli toward confirmation on the flanks, three-man defense with Ravanelli, Izzo and Lucchesi. Keita, blocked by a muscle discomfort, will not be in the match.

On the other side Massimo Donati is at a crossroads: another negative result would put in serious doubt the continuation of his experience as Samp coach. To try to turn the tide, the former midfielder will deploy, in all likelihood, an offensive-inspired 4-2-3-1, with Coda as a point of reference supported by Cuni, Barak and Pafundi.

Probable lineups

MONZA (3-4-2-1): Thiam; Ravanelli, Izzo, Lucchesi; Azzi, Pessina, Obiang, Birindelli; Dany Mota, Galazzi; Alvarez. All. White.

SAMPDORIA (4-2-3-1): Coucke; Venuti, Riccio, Vulikic, Ioannou; Abildgaard, Henderson; Cuni, Barak, Pafundi; Coda. All. Donati.
