Marco Belinelli, new role with Virtus Bologna

Virtus Olidata Bologna President Massimo Zanetti announced that Marco Belinelli will continue to join the company as Brand Ambassador and Basketball Advisor.
The captain of the past 4 seasons, who raised Virtus’ scudetto number 17 to the sky in June, will serve in an advisory role for the institutional, commercial and sports area of the bianconero club.
Announced on Monday as a new signing by Olimpia Milano, Leonardo Totè has meanwhile issued his first statements as a player of the Red Shoes: the Veronese basketball player, last year in Naples, is ceric for his new adventure and says he is ready to work to make his mark.
“I am happy, proud and honored to join such a prestigious and titled club as Olimpia Milano, with its tradition and goals,” he said. “For me it is like a dream come true. I can’t wait to start working with my new teammates, the coaching staff and to finally play in front of Olimpia fans.”
A class of 1997, Toté grew up in the youth teams of Scaligera Basket and Reyer Venezia, before making his senior debut in Brescia, on loan from the Orogranata, in the 2015-2016 season and returning to Verona the following year. The 212-centimeter wing-pivot then wore the undershirts of Jesi, Pesaro (in two separate periods), Fortitudo Bologna, Bilbao and Napoli (briefly in 2022 and last season).
The one in Milan will be the first experience for Totè in a Euroleague club: Olimpia will play the prestigious European competition for the nineteenth consecutive year and was an active part of the transition that led Euroleague Basketball to transform the tournament into a full-fledged European superleague, in which the Scarpette Rosse currently represent Italy along with Virtus Bologna.
