The adventure of Matteo Politano with the Napoli shirt continues. Through an official statement, in fact, the Azzurri club announced the renewal of the Italian attacking outfielder who has extended his contract until June 30, 2028.

On February 3, 2020, Matteo made his debut in the Azzurri jersey in the 2-4 away win at the Ferraris against Sampdoria. On July 19 came his first seal, against Udinese, sealing the decisive 2-1 goal in favor of the partenopei. On Sept. 14, 2022, he scored his first goal in the Champions League, allowing Napoli to take the lead in the 0-3 win at Ibrox against Rangers.

Politano has made 238 appearances for the Azzurri, scoring 34 goals and providing 35 assists. With Napoli, he won 2 scudetti and one Coppa Italia.

With the national team jersey Politano has made 14 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. The former Inter and Sassuolo player did not graduate as European champion with the Azzurri in 2021 because he was excluded from then coach Roberto Mancini&#8217s list of call-ups.
