Santiago Gimenez speaks out about his future at AC Milan

Santiago Gimenez spoke at the end of the Coppa Italia match won 3-0 over Lecce, thanks in part to his first goal of the season: “The truth is that as a striker I always try to score goals, the ball did not go in but the’important thing is that one goes in so that then the others”.
“As a child I dreamed of playing in Milan, I am in the team of my dreams, to be fulfilled with this jersey is my consecration. I never thought of leaving it”, he assured.
Compliments also came from Marco Landucci: “It is normal, a striker has to score goals but the performance was good. He always made himself available to the team, it was normal that he would score goals. I am glad he did it tonight.”
“In my opinion we started a little slow, in the first half we had to speed up the game a little bit. In the second half we did better, Lecce was disadvantaged by staying in 10. We wanted to pass the round and we are happy.”
“The goals are important, but we have to play game after game. I am very happy with the attitude of the team, a wonderful group that works and is paying attention to everything. There is a good atmosphere in Milanello. We have to stay very focused, keep working and improve. There is no maintenance: either better or worse. We always want to improve, that must be the goal of Milan players. Details, making one meter one more, not letting kicks, running forward are important things that the team is doing well and must continue to do with humility match after match”.
