Although he has started his third year in the Saudi Professional League with the shirt of Al-Hilal, the club of which Simone Inzaghi has been coach since last July, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic seems to be tempted by a return to Italy. In fact, the name of the Serbian midfielder, who turned 30 last Feb. 27, has been hinted at by Juventus, which is ready to attempt the assault as early as January.

Reporting the hypothesis is ‘Tuttosport’, according to which the Bianconeri club, on the instructions of coach Igor Tudor, has resumed contacts with the Saudi club to assess the feasibility of a transfer as early as January, with the aim of reinforcing the roster available to the Bianconeri coach and guaranteeing him the possibility of rotating as many players as possible from the start of the calendar year onwards.

This is not the first time Juventus has probed the ground for Milinkovic-Savic, but so far every possible negotiation has stalled in front of the player&#8217s willingness to honor the agreement he made in the summer of 2023 with Al-Hilal. However, the prospect of returning to play in one of Europe&#8217s most competitive leagues and stepping back onto Champions League pitches could play a decisive role between now and January.

Milinkovic-Savic played eight seasons in Italy, all with the Lazio shirt, collecting a total of 341 appearances and 69 goals between league and cups. A midfielder with a strong offensive vocation, he won an Italian Cup and two Italian Super Cups with Lazio, while at Al-Hilal he won a Saudi championship, a domestic cup and two Super Cups.
