Bologna began its Europa League adventure with a defeat. In the first round of the league phase, the Italian team in fact lost 1-0 to Aston Villa’Aston Villa remaining with zero points in the standings.

In Birmingham the English dominated taking the lead with a goal by McGinn (13′) and only Skorupski prevented other goals. In the second half, the red-and-blue goalkeeper also parried a penalty to Watkins (68′) keeping his side in the game, which came close to equalizing with Castro (crossbar).

On the other hand, Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma on Wednesday managed to win 2-1 at home to Nice. The first half was stingy with emotions, except for a goal cancelled out to Mancini for offside, but in the second half the music changed with the entrance of the derby hero.

Pellegrini’s insertion proved decisive and not only for the’assist from the crossbar for Ndicka&#8217s go-ahead goal. Three minutes later Gianluca Mancini himself doubled by taking advantage of Tsimikas’ great work. In the final Pisilli risked spoiling everything by giving away the penalty shot converted by Moffi in the’1-2, which, however, was also the final result.
