Japanese GP, Marc Marquez looking for the right feeling in Motegi

Marc Marquez explained thus to the microphones of Sky Sports the not entirely satisfactory performance obtained in the first free practice of the Japanese GP, closed with the third time.
All’leaving the box “the feeling was not the right one, the one I normally start with in FP1. Afterwards, we tried to improve the set-up in too much of a hurry, changing too many things”.
In pre-qualifying, in which it was still third, “we went back to work on my riding style and started to go better. But it was my mistake to push the technicians with so many ‘I want, I want, I want’. Sometimes asking too much makes you wrong” explained the MotoGP world championship leader to Sky.
Marquez lapped mostly on medium compound tires: “We kept the medium to look for the set-up. Tomorrow we have to evaluate how the tires go: the soft for the Sprint, but we have to figure out whether to use the medium in the long race on Sunday”.
