NBA, Golden State strikes a blow: veteran Al Horford arrives

The new NBA season is upon us. It starts on October 22 with the 2025/26 regular season. Everyone is dreaming of dethroning OKC, the reigning NBA Champions. The Golden State Warriors are hoping for that, as they are doing everything they can to put together a roster capable of fighting for the NBA’ring.
As reported by ESPN, Steve Kerr, coach of the Warriors, has received a major gift for his team, namely Al Horford. Golden State, in fact, has reached an agreement with the 39-year-old all-star. The’now former Boston Celtics (with whom he won an NBA title) signed a multi-year contract.
His experience will come in handy to a roster already featuring many All Stars such as Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler. The goal is to attempt one last assault on the NBA’s ring, and with Al Horford to lend a hand, the feat seems less uphill.
The team will be able to make a last-ditch effort.
The feeling is that Golden State will try to add more players to the’current roster but much will depend on the’outcome of the Jonathan Kuminga case who, at the moment, is still in limbo (he did not show up for the Warriors media day). It is still unclear what his future will be. All summer there has been talk of a contract extension that never came and a possible trade with Sacramento that would still be possible.
