Shanghai Masters 1000, Lorenzo Sonego also out

Lorenzo Sonego, world number 44, was beaten in the first round of the Shanghai Masters 1000 by German Yannick Hanfmann, number 159, with a score of 2-6 6-3 6-1 in just under two hours of play.
Sonego has two break points as early as the second game of the match, misses them but then breaks his opponent in the fourth game, and then again in the eighth, to close out the first set.
For the Turin-based player, everything was okay until 2-2 in the second set, but then he fell apart, losing 10 out of 12 games and leaving the way clear for Hanfmann.
After Matteo Berrettini, another Italian big went out of the picture immediately on the Chinese cement. A good first instead for Luca Nardi and Mattia Bellucci.
