Vincenzo Italiano has no doubts about his Bologna
Vincenzo Italiano spoke in a press conference on the eve of Bologna-Freiburg. “We analyzed the first match played with Basel and worked on what may be the match that can give us the most indications – he began -. We went through mistakes by staying level-headed and pedaling through many draws and the ugly defeat in Naples. This year the situation is similar: two important players are gone, but I am sure that slowly we will get to the level of last year. Heggem and Vitik will grow, Bernardeschi’s left-handedness will make a difference, Rowe’s one-on-one on the flank will give us satisfaction, Ciro will recover and give us a hand in terms of goals”.
He comments on the outside forward department, which is suffering from the loss of Dan Ndoye: “Every end of practice Dan would come in with templates in hand and start perfecting his shot on goal, even risking injury. The’application is there from everyone, but you need the hunger to get there. Vlahovic had the same hunger as Dan and at every end of practice he would stop and kick at goal. Dan had made that mental transition and was able to become the player he showed himself to be last year. We need to put a little something extra in the bag besides the normal task of application: our outfielders need to be added attackers”.
