Marc Marquez, surprising sentence about Valentino Rossi

Marc Marquez is preparing to contest his first race as MotoGP 2025 world champion, the Indonesian Grand Prix at the Mandalika circuit, tired from the energy expended during the season but eager to keep his concentration high. Here are his words to Marca.

“I am more tired than ever. My energy has dropped, the fact that I have reached my main goal has brought down my adrenaline, but we will see if we can recover energy levels over the weekend.

“It is true that I would like to rest a bit’ but it is back on the bike and we will see. I have had so much pressure all season that I just want to enjoy it. I will try to give it my all and the main goal is not to make stupid mistakes, because if the adrenaline drops, so does the concentration”.

“Even finishing second or third is fine. This weekend begins the work for next season, we have to try to play with the’setup, experiment with everything we can”.

Then Marquez says a surprising sentence about Valentino Rossi: “We never fought for a world championship. When I was in that position, my biggest rival one year was Lorenzo, then it became Dovizioso”.
