Ducati, Jorge Lorenzo: "Marc Marquez? I'd understood him immediately"

The’former Yamaha, Ducati and Honda centaur Jorge Lorenzo in an interview with Corriere della Sera spoke about Marc Marquez: “I always struggled and suffered when I was a rival of Marc, I knew immediately that I was facing a phenomenon”.

“When a rider becomes a champion on his MotoGP debut, it means he has a special talent. After the’accident in 2020, for me he did not fully recover, and yet despite that he remained the best of all”, explained the five-time world champion.

“He&#8217s far superior compared to the other riders, a little bit’because of Ducati, but a lot because of him– Lorenzo continued.

He&#8217s the best rider riding the best bike, like Doohan with Honda and Schumacher with Ferrari“.

Jorge Lorenzo, however, has one regret regarding his MotoGP career: “I could have continued with Ducati and won at least another world championship, also thanks to the injury that Marquez had. I am convinced of this but maybe I am wrong”.
