Olimpia Milano debacle in Munich, Ettore Messina is harsh: "Too many mistakes"

Olimpia Milano still defeated in the Euroleague, for the third time out of four games played in Europe since the beginning of the season. In Bavaria it ends 64-53 for Bayern Munich, and coach Ettore Messina cannot hide his disappointment for a game that saw his team build a decent lead and then squander it in the final.
Already hard-hitting statements made to ‘EuroLeague TV’ moments after the game ended. “We kept missing shots, then at key moments we gave up on defense. This is the aspect of the game that disappoints me the most. We will all have to discuss together what happened” said Messina.
The coach of Olimpia Milano then also put himself in the dock, speaking from the SAP Garden press room. “At the beginning of the second half we had built a small lead, even taking us to +7. Then, however, we made too many mistakes – admitted Messina -. This game was extremely disappointing, and as is obvious I take responsibility for what happened”.
“Throughout the second half we were extremely unorganized offensively. Behind we were able to fight well for a while’ then even there we stopped. The real problem though is how poor we were on offense. Having said that, my congratulations go to Coach Herbert for Bayern Munich”s victory, concluded Messina.
