Virtus Bologna beat Monaco 77-73 at the Segafredo Arena in the fourth game of the Euroleague regular season. The V Nere led for almost the entire match even reaching a 13-point lead in the last quarter and then contained the Monaco’s comeback.
For Virtus 24 points by Carsen Edwards, for the guests 16 by former Olimpia Milano Nikola Mirotic. The hosts then bounce back after two consecutive losses to Valencia and Paris followed the initial success against Real Madrid. Here are the words of coach Dusko Ivanovic.
“A good game, nice win, we played with more patience and decisiveness than them. I think we deserved this victory. This is the’only mentality you can have. If you want to win you have to have this kind of character. Today we celebrate, tomorrow is another day.”
