MotoGP: Pecco Bagnaia’s blackest moment continues at Phillip Island

No redemption. Despite the absence, due to injury, del teammate Marc Marquez, Pecco Bagnaia continues in his ordeal. The two-time World Champion in MotoGP, also fell at Phillip Island, home of the GP d’Australia.
The Italian, clearly struggling (high times on his Ducati), crashed with four laps to go when he was in a modest 13th position. Yet another slip in a season that has become, by now, a real nightmare.
“In the warm-up it was a disaster the’set-up. I was really on the limit. Unfortunately, I can’t get into the corners the way I want to. I hope to get to Malaysia and have a good feeling”, the words of a sorry Pecco Bagnaia.
Pecco Bagnaia keeps trying but the results are not what we hoped for: “We thought we had found the right feeling after the Misano test and it went well in Japan. What happened in the races after that is unacceptable and hardly incomprehensible. What happened from Austria onward? I can’t answer that. I know it’s a tough year. It’s a tough situation”, the Ducati’s blue. Accomplice to the fall at Phillip Island, he also lost the third place in the World Drivers standings, now in the hands of Marco Bezzecchi.
