Ducati, Nicolò Bulega sets the record straight for 2026

Concluded in second place in the World Superbike Championship, just 13 points behind Toprak Razgatlioglu (616 points against 603), Nicolò Bulega already has his eyes turned with utmost determination to 2026, as evidenced by the best time he achieved riding the Ducati on both the first and second day of testing at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain.
1:37.587 was the Emilian centaur’s time, more than eight tenths faster than the closest of the chasers, Iker Lecuona on the Aruba.it team’s’other Ducati. The third-place finisher on Wednesday, Alex Loews (Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) even failed to keep the gap under a second, finishing with a gap of 1.169.
“It went well, even though we worked only half a day – explained the vice world champion at the conclusion of the two-day test -We improved compared to yesterday, also because we had an extra night to analyze everything. I felt good right away and we were able to make some small steps forward in the cornering phase: we are still not perfect, but it is better”.
“I lost something in braking compared to yesterday, but overall we made progress. We have collected good data for the winter, and I am sure the team will work hard to prepare for next year” he then concluded Bulega, who is betting big on 2026 to hit that title that has eluded him twice in two years to the benefit of Razgatlioglu, who will make the jump to MotoGp in 2026 in the Yahama Prima Pramac Racing Team.
