Hakim Ziyech has signed a contract with Wydad Casablanca valid until June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extending it. This was announced by the club’s president, Hichal Ait Mena, explaining that the agreement was reached without difficulty and that the player expressed his desire to return to play in his own country, despite numerous proposals from foreign clubs.

Ziyech, who was born in the Netherlands but is of Moroccan descent, chose from the start to represent Morocco at the international level. After taking his first steps at Heerenveen and gaining experience at Twente, he made his name at Ajax under Erik ten Hag, standing out for his technique, game vision and offensive qualities. His performances brought him to Chelsea for a fee of 40 million euros.

In London, however, he failed to find continuity due to various injuries. After his English experience, he lands at Galatasaray in Turkey, but even there he struggles to make his mark. A quick move to Al-Duhail in Qatar soon ends, leaving him without a team. He now aims to revive himself with Wydad Casablanca.
