Valentino Rossi got an'idea about Pecco Bagnaia’s problems

Valentino Rossi on the Sky Sport website took stock of the centaurs in his VR46 Riders Academy: “The project started in 2012-13 and it is something that matters a lot to me. I am trying to give back what motorcycling has given me and my life”.

“It&#8217s wonderful to work with young people; it&#8217s been a long road, but we managed to bring four riders to MotoGP. They make us happy; I like to follow the races and cheer for them. There is Luca Marini, who rides the factory Honda; he made a brave choice because the bike had problems, but now he is always up there. There is Franco Morbidelli, who we helped and who has been with us from the beginning; he won the Moto2 World Championship and now he is with us in MotoGP. Then there is Marco Bezzecchi, who is giving us great satisfaction this year: he races with Aprilia and had a fantastic season. He won, but in Australia, unfortunately, he had to pay the consequences of the two long lap penalties, but he was the fastest”.

Inevitable, however, is the question about Bagnaia: “Pecco is a three-time World Champion of which one, in Moto2, also with our team. He is very fast, but unfortunately he is struggling a bit this year. In the last three years he has always fought for the World Championship. He has won two, while last year he lost it at the last race. He has proved his worth”.

“This year, because of a combination of things, he didn&#8217t get along very well with the new version of the Ducati. He started to struggle a little bit, flanked by a fast teammate like Marquez. We’re in a difficult moment, we’re trying to help him 100 percent by trying to figure out how to solve it. We haven”t figured out what happened yet either, but we are convinced that Pecco will get back to the front and come back to fight to win”.
