A fun Saturday for Franco Morbidelli at Sepang.

The Sprint of the Malaysian Grand Prix saw the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team take the Top5 with Franco Morbidelli.

Morbidelli was the author of an excellent qualifying session in which he took the front row (1:57.159) for the second time this season. Starting from the third box, Franco was the protagonist of the fight for the podium in the first laps, then crossing the finish line in fifth position. The number 21 is seventh in the overall standings with 213 points.

“I had a good time in this Sprint and with these battles – he remarked. “I didn’t have a great start because of the somewhat dirty grid position, and I found myself with other drivers. It was not an easy fight, but it was good. Then, one crashed and I was able to put space between me and the rider following me. Unfortunately, I was too far from the Top3 and couldn’t do much.
