A very serious accident during Moto3 at Sepang. During the alignment lap, José Antonio Rueda and Noah Dettwiler were involved in a terrible accident.

Swiss rider Noah Dettwiler, who was proceeding slowly (possibly due to a technical problem on his bike), was hit head-on by the bike ridden by fresh World Champion José Antonio Rueda. Immediately rescued on the track, the two riders were stabilized and later transported, by helicopter, to the nearby Kuala Lampur hospital. At the moment, new updates on the condition of both drivers are awaited.

From the first rumors coming from the paddock, both riders are reportedly conscious. The’incident forced organizers to postpone the start of the race by nearly two hours (scheduled for 5:00 a.m., the race began at 6:45 a.m.)

As for the cold sports record, the Moto3 race victory in Sepang was won by Japanese Taiyo Furusato. Behind him came Angel Piqueras and Adrian Fernandez. Taiyo Furusato becomes the 16th Japanese rider to win in MotoGP.
