Bologna, Vincenzo Italiano discharged from Sant'Orsola: he is already ready to return to work

Good news for Vincenzo Italiano, Bologna coach recently struck down by a pneumonia that had forced him to be hospitalized at Policlinico Sant’Orsola-Malpighi, a hospital institute in the Emilia capital. The 47-year-old technician was in fact discharged on Tuesday and, although under observation by club doctors, he will be able to return to work.

The news was confirmed directly by the Bologna-based club: “In the morning today Vincenzo Italiano was discharged from the Policlinico Sant’Orsola-Malpighi – reads the note published on the official channels -. The clinical conditions are good; the Coach will return to work tomorrow and will be under observation of the club” medical staff.

“Bologna Fc 1909 sincerely thanks Prof. Stefano Nava, Director of Pneumology at the Policlinico, Prof. Lara Pisani and all the staff of the department for the professionalism, humanity and helpfulness shown towards the Mister” then concluded the club, addressing thanks to the doctors who have been taking care of Italiano”s health in these days.

Fifth in the standings after eight days of the championship, -4 from the first position, Bologna will face Torino at home on Wednesday 29 in the midweek match, before the derby against Parma scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 2. The Rossoblù will also return to Europa League play next week, facing the Norwegians of Brann at the Dall’Ara.
