Roma market, a hard blow for the Giallorossi

Roma is looking at the Spanish market and has set its sights on one of Valencia’s most interesting profiles: Hugo Duro. The Spanish forward, born in 1999, has attracted the attention of the Giallorossi club due to his goal scoring continuity in recent seasons, with 13 goals in 2023/24 and 11 in 2024/25.
Duro is under contract with Valencia until 2028, but the feeling is that his cycle at Mestalla could end in the next summer window. Roma, which has always been attentive to movements in La Liga (where Dovbyk could return), is seriously evaluating his profile to reinforce the offensive department, in light of his technical qualities, ability to attack depth and his experience in a competitive league like the Spanish one.
Although Valencia has no immediate need to sell, the club is aware that a major offer could change the balance. Roma, who wants to hold on to Mancini despite the’interest of Inter, is closely monitoring the situation, ready to step in if the right conditions are created.
For his part, the player has never hidden his desire to face new challenges and compete in a league with greater international visibility. A move to Serie A, to a club with European ambitions such as Roma, would represent a step forward in his career.
At Valencia, Duro is an offensive mainstay, but amid the team’s difficulties and a recent muscle injury, his future has become less certain. The club has renewed his contract, a sign of confidence, but is also considering alternatives in attack, suggesting that a transfer is not to be ruled out.
