L’former world number one Andy Roddick commented at the microphones of his podcast on Jannik Sinner’s victory in the ATP Vienna tournament final against Alexander Zverev. L’Azzurro won in three sets with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, winning his fourth tournament of the season.

“Sinner won this week. Crazy. You know someone is good when you see the score and the three-set win and you think he had a tough day, that he almost lost to the number three guy in the world, it’s crazy. It is not normal”.

“Zverev is probably the best player ever not to have won a Slam, statistically I think that’s exactly right. And that also says a lot about Sinner’s greatness. When he beats a guy who has reached a lot of finals, won the Olympics and a lot of tournaments, and you hear ‘He was led 7-5 in the third’ well that says a lot about how dominant Sinner is, especially indoors”.
